Weekly, one week in arrears, on a Friday. So the week you work is paid on the Friday of the following week. There is no monthly option and no waiting a month to see your first money.

The Construction Industry Scheme is how most self employed operatives on a construction site are paid. You work against your own UTR, tax is deducted at source before you are paid, and you settle up with HMRC through your self assessment. If you are registered you are normally deducted at twenty per cent, and if you are not you are deducted at thirty, which is a good reason to register.

Yes. Most of the operatives we supply are on CIS or work through their own limited company, but PAYE is available. Tell us which you want when you register and we will set it up properly rather than defaulting you into whatever is easiest for us.

One thing: £15 a week to process your CIS payments. That is the only deduction we make, and we would rather you heard it from us than found it on a payslip. Our £25 a day margin is separate, charged to the client on top of your rate, never taken out of it.

Because processing CIS properly costs something. Running the payment, applying the right deduction, filing with HMRC and producing your statements. Charging nothing would mean making it back somewhere you could not see, which is the opposite of how we work. It is also well under what is normal: £22 a week is common through an agency and we have seen £35.
